Junior Penetration Tester

Primary responsibilities include: Perl based plug-in coding, external network and application penetration testing, client report preparation and penetration testing team assistance. This is a remote, work from home, full or part time, set your own hours, no travel, contract position for the right candidate.

This position is strongly oriented toward coding, in an information security context and mostly in Perl on Linux platforms. Candidate must possess at least one industry recognized penetration testing certification, and must demonstrate strong competence in Perl scripting and strong familiarity with Linux platforms. Experience with other programming and scripting languages is a plus, with server side web development scripting in any language, Python and Bash scripting preferred.

Candidates will exhibit an ability to work independently to deadlines and possess absolutely firm ethical standards. Submission to civil and criminal background check is required.

Senior Level Penetration Tester

Primary responsibility is conducting internal and external network and application penetration testing, client report preparation and client guidance. This is a remote, work from home, set your own hours, no travel, contract position for the right candidate.

Candidate must possess at least 3 years of prior penetration testing experience in business to business client penetration testing engagements, excellent communication skills, and at least one current, industry recognized penetration testing certification.

Candidates will exhibit an ability to work independently to deadlines and possess absolutely firm ethical standards. Submission to civil and criminal background check is required.

Successful completion of a High Bit Security Skill Test Engagement is required. High Bit Security skill test engagements will require at least 20 to 30 hours of a candidates time, and measure a candidates unsupervised ability to:

  • -independently follow scope documentation and adhere to deadlines and scope exclusions,
  • -perform thorough penetration testing with identification and reporting of all security flaws,
  • -locate, prove and report flaws that cannot be identified by scanners or tools,
  • -eliminate all false positives generated by scanners or tools,
  • -understand and report context relevant severity ratings,
  • -generate clear and coherent written reporting and remediation guidance,
  • -demonstrate broad subject matter expertise and excellent verbal communication skills in a mock client follow up meeting.

    This skill test engagement is not optional and successful candidates will exhibit strong competence in all areas.

    This is not an entry level or junior penetration testing position. This position requires a strong background in cloud computing, wired and wireless penetration testing, web application testing, mobile application testing and social engineering.
